Simple breathing test could predict Life-Threatening lung complication

NCT ID NCT05358405

Summary

This study aimed to see if a simple breathing test, called the Müller maneuver, could predict which patients on ventilators would develop dangerous fluid in their lungs when trying to breathe on their own. Researchers planned to measure heart function before and after the test in adult patients in intensive care. The goal was to find an easier way to spot patients at risk so doctors could adjust their care, but the study was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled.
