New scan may predict dangerous clot return in lung patients

Summary
This study looks at whether a detailed lung scan can predict if a blood clot will return in people who have had a pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lung). About 665 adults who have finished 3-6 months of blood thinners will get a special 3D scan. Researchers will follow them for 2 years to see if the scan results help identify who needs longer treatment.
