New pain protocol aims to cut opioid use in Kids' spine surgery

Summary
This study tests a new pain management approach for children aged 10 to 18 having spine surgery for scoliosis. The goal is to see if using methadone as part of a standardized recovery plan can reduce pain and the need for other opioids. The study will enroll 500 participants across multiple centers to compare this new method with standard care.
