Summary
This study looks at whether taking prebiotics (a type of fiber) can improve gut health in people with ulcerative colitis, a form of inflammatory bowel disease. About 70 adults with active symptoms will take a prebiotic supplement for 8 weeks. Researchers will track changes in symptoms, gut inflammation, and the types of bacteria in stool samples to see if prebiotics help.
