Summary
This study looked at whether a prebiotic fiber called inulin can improve how the body handles sugar and fat in adults with prediabetes. Twenty-two participants took either inulin or a placebo daily for 6 weeks while eating a controlled diet. Researchers measured insulin sensitivity, metabolic flexibility, and heart health before and after the trial.
