First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving a daily prebiotic (a type of fiber) to 3-5 year olds who don't eat enough fiber can improve their mood, sleep, thinking skills, and gut health. About 106 children will take either a prebiotic or a placebo for several weeks. Parents will report on their child's behavior and emotions, and researchers will analyze gut bacteria.
