NCT ID NCT07232069
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study aims to prevent heart disease from getting worse in people who already have early signs of plaque buildup but are not yet at high risk. About 1,500 adults (women 40-60, men 30-50) will be screened with heart scans, then some will receive cholesterol-lowering and anti-inflammatory pills or placebos for two years. The goal is to see if early treatment can shrink or stabilize plaque and prevent future heart problems.
