Summary
This study follows 5,000 children aged 0-16 years before and after surgery to find out how many develop chronic pain and why. Parents and children fill out questionnaires at several time points over a year. The goal is to identify risk factors like anxiety or pain history so doctors can better prevent long-term pain.
