First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether giving parents of young children $500 each month for 18 months can improve their family's financial security, reduce stress, and help their kids grow and develop better. About 600 parents in Pomona, California, are taking part, with some receiving the full $500 and others getting a small $20 payment for comparison. Researchers will track changes in family well-being, parenting, and child development over time.
