First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tested a new device called PointCheck that uses light to check for dangerously low white blood cell levels (neutropenia) in cancer patients without needing a needle. The study included 81 adults with blood or breast cancers who were getting chemotherapy. The main goal was to see how easy the device is to use, both in the clinic and at home, and to get an early look at how accurate it is.
