Jump Training's hidden effects on athlete muscles revealed

NCT ID NCT07352319

First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looked at how lower-body plyometric training (jump exercises) changes levels of certain muscle damage markers in the blood of female college volleyball players. Sixty players were split into two groups: one did plyometrics twice a week for eight weeks, while the other stuck to regular volleyball practice. Researchers took blood samples at several points to track changes in CPK and creatinine levels, which indicate muscle stress and kidney function.
