New pill aims to fight frailty in aging muscles

NCT ID NCT07390552

Summary

This study is testing whether a new oral medication called PLH-2301 can improve strength and physical function in older adults with sarcopenia, a condition of age-related muscle loss. About 168 participants aged 65 and older will take either the drug at one of three doses or a placebo pill daily for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug helps people perform daily physical tasks better than the placebo.
