Your own blood vs. steroids: a new shot at knee pain relief?

NCT ID NCT05765266

Summary

This study tested if a single injection made from a patient's own blood (platelet-rich plasma) works better than a standard steroid injection for knee arthritis pain. It involved 45 adults with moderate knee arthritis who had tried other treatments for at least 6 months. Researchers compared pain, stiffness, and side effects between the two groups over a full year.
