Weekly shot vs daily injection: race to stop bleeding after transplant

NCT ID NCT07400341

Summary

This study is for adults with MDS or aplastic anemia who receive a donor stem cell transplant. After transplant, patients often struggle with low platelets, which increases bleeding risk. Researchers are comparing a once-weekly injection (romiplostim) against a daily injection (rhTPO) to see which helps platelets recover faster and more safely. About 66 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments, which start a few days after transplant and continue for up to 8 weeks.
