First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether switching from a typical Western diet to a plant-based diet can improve how the body uses insulin in people with prediabetes. Nine adults with prediabetes and a high waist circumference took part. Researchers measured insulin sensitivity and other markers before and after the diet change to see if it could help prevent type 2 diabetes.
