Scientists study how Mom's medications reach unborn babies
NCT ID NCT04400084
Summary
This research aims to understand how medications taken during pregnancy transfer from mother to baby through the placenta. Researchers will study donated placentas after delivery to measure how different drugs cross this barrier. The goal is to gather safety information about medications used during pregnancy, since pregnant women are rarely included in drug trials.
