First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study uses special MRI scans to measure oxygen and blood flow in the placenta during pregnancy. Researchers want to see if these measurements differ between women with obesity and women with a healthy weight before pregnancy. The goal is to better understand why some pregnancies have complications. About 30 pregnant women will have two MRI scans, one in the second trimester and one in the third.
