Parkinson's watch study sees if a wearable can track symptoms
NCT ID NCT05251701
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested a watch-like device called the Personal KinetiGraph (PKG) to see if it can accurately measure movement problems in people with Parkinson's disease. Nineteen participants, including both people with movement disorders and healthy volunteers, wore the PKG watch while their walking and other movements were recorded. The goal was to compare the watch's measurements with standard clinical tests to validate its use for tracking symptoms like slowness, dyskinesia, and fall risk.
