First seen Nov 11, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a procedure called PIPAC that turns liquid chemotherapy into a fine mist and sprays it directly into the abdomen during a minimally invasive surgery. It is for people with ovarian, uterine, appendix, colorectal, or stomach cancer that has spread to the lining of the belly. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can reduce side effects compared to standard chemotherapy.
