First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether Pilates or treadmill walking is better for improving core strength, breathing, and overall fitness in healthy older adults aged 60 to 77. Twenty-nine seniors were split into three groups: Pilates, treadmill walking, or no exercise. Both exercise groups trained for 60 minutes, three times a week, for 8 weeks. The goal was to find simple ways for seniors to stay independent and feel better day-to-day.
