Summary
This study tested whether a systematic phone call from a medical student to older adults with heart disease or mental health conditions during the COVID-19 lockdown in France could reduce hospitalizations within one month. About 22,000 patients took part. The goal was to see if this simple check-in could catch problems early and keep people out of the hospital.
