First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests a combination of two drugs, phentermine and topiramate, in 13 teenagers aged 12-20 who have both obesity and type 2 diabetes. The goal is to see if the medication can help lower body mass index (BMI) over 6 months. The drug is already approved for adults with obesity, and researchers want to check if it's safe and effective for teens.
