First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests a combination of two weight-loss drugs (phentermine and topiramate) in 13 teenagers aged 12-20 who have both obesity and type 2 diabetes. The goal is to see if the medication can safely lower body mass index (BMI) over 6 months. The drugs are already approved for adults, but this is an early test in younger people.
