New scan could tell doctors if cancer drugs will work
NCT ID NCT03564197
Summary
This study tested whether a special PET scan could predict which patients with advanced lung cancer would respond well to immunotherapy drugs like nivolumab. Researchers scanned 80 patients before they started treatment to see if the scan results could forecast how long they would live without their cancer getting worse. The goal is to help doctors choose the right treatment by identifying patients most likely to benefit from these powerful drugs.
