Could a new scan better detect returning brain tumors in kids?

NCT ID NCT05553899

First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a combined PET-MRI scan can better detect if a child's brain tumor has come back after treatment, compared to standard MRI alone. The study will enroll 5 children with high-grade gliomas or medulloblastomas who have unclear results on regular scans. The main goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable for patients and families.
