New scan could spot cancer response sooner

NCT ID NCT04273555

Summary

This study aimed to test whether a combination PET/MRI scan could detect how well treatment is working in stage IV HER2-positive breast cancer patients earlier than current methods. Researchers planned to scan patients up to three times during their treatment to see if changes in the images could predict treatment success. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
