Scientists test new brain scan tracer in first human study

NCT ID NCT02379338

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new radioactive tracer called [18F]FTP to see how it moves through the body and brain in healthy volunteers. Researchers will use PET/CT scans to track where the tracer goes, how the body processes it, and how safely it can be used. The goal is to gather basic information about this new imaging tool, which may one day help study brain conditions related to dopamine receptors.
