New scan aims to sharpen cancer detection
NCT ID NCT07379463
Summary
This study is testing whether a specialized type of PET/CT scan can more accurately detect and diagnose tumors in patients with certain conditions, including brain tumors (glioma) and primary hyperparathyroidism. The scan focuses on how tumors take up amino acids. Researchers will enroll 500 adult patients to see how well this imaging method works compared to other tests.
