New personalized safety plan aims to curb suicide risk in hospitalized veterans

Summary
This study tests a personalized safety plan for veterans hospitalized due to suicide risk. The plan is a single session followed by brief coaching calls over three months after discharge. Researchers will compare it to standard safety plans in about 111 veterans to see if it reduces suicidal thoughts and improves coping.
