Tailored physiotherapy may prevent neck pain from becoming chronic
NCT ID NCT07704593
First seen Jul 15, 2026 · Last updated Jul 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether personalized physiotherapy, tailored to each person's specific needs, can reduce pain and improve daily function in adults with recent neck pain who are at risk of developing long-term pain. Participants first receive standard physiotherapy for three weeks, then switch to a personalized approach that adapts treatment session by session. The goal is to see if the tailored method works better than standard care for preventing chronic neck pain.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- personalized physiotherapy grounded in a Process-Based Therapy framework
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a more effective, tailored approach for treating neck pain and preventing it from becoming long-lasting.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small, early-stage study with only 11 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The personalized approach may not prove better than standard care.
