Brain injury breakthrough? personalized blood pressure targets aim to cut damage
NCT ID NCT07287358
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
After a severe traumatic brain injury, keeping the right blood flow to the brain is critical. This study tests a new approach: instead of using the same blood pressure target for everyone, doctors will use a special technology to find the 'optimal' target for each patient. The study will enroll 60 adults and measure brain damage markers in the blood over the first five days. If successful, this personalized method could transform how brain injuries are treated in intensive care.
