First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether having patients use simple devices at home (like a thermometer, pulse oximeter, scale, and activity watch) after cancer surgery can improve recovery. The goal was to see if collecting health data in real-time helps catch problems early and makes care better. About 134 adults having major abdominal surgery for digestive system cancers took part.
