NCT ID NCT07155447
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking an oral supplement with special amino acids (CEAA) for 12 months after leg fracture surgery can lower the risk of infection, poor bone healing, and muscle loss. Researchers will compare the supplement to a placebo in 1,000 adults aged 18-55 with leg fractures. The supplement is low-cost and low-risk, and if effective, could help people recover faster and avoid serious complications.
