NCT ID NCT07155447
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 37 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking a special amino acid supplement around the time of surgery can lower the risk of infection, bone not healing, and muscle loss after a serious leg fracture. About 1,000 adults aged 18-55 with leg fractures will be randomly assigned to get the supplement or a placebo for up to 12 months. The goal is to see if this simple, low-cost approach can improve recovery and reduce long-term problems.
