Summary
This study tested a program that combines talk therapy techniques and medication adjustments to reduce depression and anxiety in adults aged 60 and older who are scheduled for major heart surgery. 105 participants were split into two groups: one received the program plus usual care, the other received usual care alone. The goal was to see if the program improved emotional well-being three months after surgery.
