Wrist injury study: which surgery works best?

NCT ID NCT05824078

First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looked at two ways to fix a serious wrist injury called a perilunate injury, which can cause long-term pain and weakness. Researchers planned to compare open surgery versus arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery in 9 adults. The goal was to see which approach leads to less pain and better wrist movement. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
