NCT ID NCT05102760
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks—PENG and FIC—to see which one works better for treating hip fracture pain in the emergency department. About 80 adults with isolated hip fractures and significant pain will receive one of the two blocks, and their pain levels will be measured at 30 and 60 minutes. The goal is to find a safer, opioid-sparing pain relief option, especially for older patients.
