Summary
This early-phase study tested a new treatment for people with esophageal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. The approach combined a type of internal radiation (brachytherapy) with the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab. The goal was to see if this combination is safe and could help shrink tumors.
