First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This early-phase study tested whether combining the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab with the chemotherapy gemcitabine is safe for people with two rare types of soft tissue sarcoma (leiomyosarcoma and undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma). 25 participants with advanced or inoperable disease received the combination. The main goal was to find the safest dose and check for side effects, while also looking at how well the tumors responded.
