Immune drug studied in thyroid cancer before surgery

NCT ID NCT05852223

First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving the immune-boosting drug pembrolizumab before surgery can help understand how the immune system fights thyroid cancer. About 25 adults with high-risk differentiated thyroid cancer will receive the drug and then have surgery. The main goal is to learn how immune cells change, not to cure the disease.
