First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tested the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab in 20 adults with smoldering multiple myeloma at intermediate or high risk of progressing to active disease. The goal was to see if the drug could shrink or control the cancer and delay progression. Participants received pembrolizumab for up to 8 cycles, and researchers measured response rates and how many patients later developed active multiple myeloma.
