Simple lifestyle changes and a common heart drug may improve quality of life for myeloma patients

NCT ID NCT05312255

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looks at whether non-chemo approaches like physical activity, intermittent fasting, or adding a beta-blocker (propranolol) can improve immune function and quality of life in people with multiple myeloma or related blood disorders. About 175 adults with smoldering or active myeloma will be assigned to one of these interventions. The goal is to find safer ways to ease symptoms and support the body's own defenses.
