Summary

This study tested whether adding the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab to standard chemotherapy and radiation helps people with advanced esophageal cancer. About 42 adults with cancer that had not spread to other organs took part. The main goal was to see if the combination improved the chance of being cancer-free one year after treatment.
