First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This pilot study tested whether giving the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab together with standard chemotherapy before surgery could help people with rare forms of muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The 17 participants had cancer that had spread into the bladder muscle but not to other parts of the body. The goal was to see if the combination could eliminate all signs of cancer at the time of surgery.
