First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether doing pelvic floor exercises with biofeedback before rectal cancer surgery could help prevent bowel control problems (called low anterior resection syndrome) after the operation. The study planned to include 120 adults aged 18-80 who were having surgery for rectal cancer. Unfortunately, the study was stopped early, so results are limited.
