Can a buddy system help men navigate cancer genetics?
NCT ID NCT05487846
Summary
This study is testing whether having a trained peer navigator helps African American men with advanced prostate cancer better understand and go through the process of genetic testing. Genetic test results can be important for choosing treatments, but the process can be confusing. The study will compare men who get help from a peer navigator to those who receive standard care to see if the extra support improves understanding and reduces uncertainty.
