New hope for kids with rare blood disorder

Summary

This study is testing whether giving the drug emapalumab early can help children and young adults newly diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia. The goal is to see if this initial treatment improves blood counts and makes standard follow-up treatments more effective. The trial will enroll about 35 participants under 25 years old.
