Can rehab intensity rewrite stroke recovery? new study investigates.

NCT ID NCT07253974

First seen Nov 28, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study follows 213 adults recovering from a first ischemic stroke to see if the intensity of rehabilitation (3-5 sessions per day vs. 1 session per day) affects their functional recovery at six months. It also compares outcomes between patients whose stroke was linked to atrial fibrillation and those whose stroke had other causes. The goal is to better understand recovery patterns and help design personalized rehab programs.
