NCT ID NCT05496036

First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study is for people with Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare skin cancer, that can be removed with surgery. The goal is to see if giving the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab before and after surgery can shrink the tumor and lower the chance of the cancer coming back. About 15 participants will receive one dose of pembrolizumab before surgery, then continue after surgery, and researchers will monitor side effects and how well the tumor responds.
