Summary
This study tests a new 13-valent pneumococcal vaccine (PCV13) in 3,080 healthy infants and children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The goal is to see if the vaccine is safe and triggers a strong immune response against pneumococcal bacteria, which can cause pneumonia, meningitis, and ear infections. Participants receive the vaccine and are monitored for side effects and antibody levels.
