Protein clues could spot insulin trouble early in PCOS

NCT ID NCT06793098

First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at three proteins (kisspeptin, ghrelin, zonulin) in the blood of women with PCOS to see if they can serve as early warning signs for insulin resistance. Researchers will compare protein levels among women with PCOS and insulin resistance, women with PCOS but no insulin resistance, and women without PCOS. The goal is to better understand how these proteins relate to the condition, not to provide treatment.
